How much does house cleaning cost in Tavira in 2026

Need help from our team?

On the prices our cleaning team publishes for 2026, a regular weekly clean in Tavira starts at 15 euros an hour with a three hour minimum, a one off clean at 20 euros an hour, a holiday let changeover at 50 euros for a one bedroom apartment, and a deep clean at 140 euros. These are starting prices: what you actually pay depends on the size and state of the house, how often it is cleaned and what is included, so the exact figure comes from a quote.

Cleaning is one of those services where the hourly rate tells you less than you think. Two houses of the same size can take very different times, a weekly clean costs less per hour than a one off, and a changeover for a holiday let is priced per visit rather than per hour. The tables below put all of it side by side.

The published prices in one table

Why a weekly clean costs less per hour

A house cleaned every week never gets far from clean. The work is predictable, the same person usually comes, and nothing builds up between visits. That is why the weekly rate starts lower than the rate for a clean every two weeks, and both start lower than a one off. A one off clean in a house that has not been cleaned for months is a different job, slower and harder, even if the list of rooms is the same.

For regular cleaning, the house’s own products and vacuum cleaner are normally used. The team can bring professional equipment for a small extra charge, which is worth it in a holiday home where nothing is kept in the cupboards.

What changes the price

Starting prices assume an ordinary house in ordinary condition. These are the things that move a quote up or down.

  • Size and layout. Number of bedrooms and especially bathrooms, stairs, terraces and outdoor areas.
  • Condition. A house after a long closure, after a party, after builders or after a tenant who did not clean takes longer.
  • Frequency. Regular work costs less per hour than a single visit.
  • What is included. Inside the oven and fridge, windows outside, terraces, ironing and linen all add time.
  • Access and distance. Parking in the old town, keys to collect, and houses further out in the campo.

Holiday lets: priced per changeover

Changeovers are the exception to hourly pricing. A holiday let needs the same job every time a guest leaves, so it is priced per visit, by the number of bedrooms. The visit covers stripping and making the beds, bathrooms, kitchen, floors, the terrace and a check for damage or missing items, with a photo report afterwards. Laundry can be done on site, by an outside laundry, or by swapping in pre washed sets.

The changeover price is what you put into your own costings for the season. The end of season deep clean comes on top, once a year, when the last guests leave. We wrote about the changeover itself in our guide to turning a holiday let around in six hours.

Deep cleans and end of tenancy cleans

A deep clean is priced per job because it covers the things regular cleaning does not: inside appliances, limescale, grout, cupboards, shutters and detail dusting. It is what a house needs once or twice a year, or before a regular routine starts.

An end of tenancy clean is a deep clean with a purpose: getting the house back to the standard the landlord or the next tenant expects. It costs a little more because the checklist is fixed and the result is inspected. Our team returns within 48 hours, at no charge, if the landlord or agency points out something that was missed.

Two worked examples

Rates are easier to judge as a monthly or seasonal figure, so here are two examples built only from the starting prices above.

Both are minimums, not quotes. A larger flat, a house with three bathrooms, or a season with more short stays changes the figures, which is why the real number always comes from a quote for the specific house.

How to keep the cost down

A few things make a real difference to the bill.

  • Book regular cleaning rather than a series of one off visits, if the house is lived in.
  • Clear surfaces and floors before the cleaner arrives, so the time goes on cleaning, not tidying.
  • Group extra jobs, like windows or the oven, into one longer visit instead of separate ones.
  • In a holiday home, keep a basic set of products and a good vacuum in the house.
  • Describe the house honestly when you ask for a quote, including its state, so the first visit is priced right.

Outside work and dust

Terraces, outdoor furniture and solar panels are usually quoted separately, and on the coast they collect more than sand. After a calima, a fine orange dust covers everything outside and gets into the house. Cleaning it properly needs water and the right order of work, which we explained in what Saharan dust does to your home.

About these prices

All the figures in this article are indicative starting prices taken from the pages our cleaning team published in 2026. Every house is different, and the price you pay depends on its size, its condition, the frequency and what you want included. For an exact figure, send the location, the number of bedrooms and bathrooms and a few photos, and ask for a quote. Every clean is invoiced officially, with your NIF on the invoice. The full list is on our cleaning prices page.
